Frequently asked questions
My 500 won't start and I already replaced the battery. Is it worth sending the module?
It is, and it's exactly the most frequent case that reaches us. When the battery is good and the starter turns strongly, the suspect is the column module, the Body Computer or the computer itself — and that distinction is only made on a bench. Swapping parts blind at that point is the most expensive path.
Do I lose mileage or have to reprogram keys?
No. We preserve VIN, mileage and immobilizer data, both in repair and in cloning. The car recognizes the module and your existing keys again with no additional pairing.
My 500e shut down and I was told it's the whole battery. Is that always the case?
It isn't, and that's why we measure first. In a good share of cases the failure is in a management module — BMS, onboard charger or inverter — and not in the cell pack. We do the cell-by-cell reading and tell you what actually failed before anyone talks about replacing the pack.
